SEC Fiction Writings (If you desire to print, please use legal paper)
Sidney Edward Cox (1887 – 1975) was widely recognized as a musician and composer. It has been chronicled that he composed between 300 and 400 songs and choruses that were widely known, published and used within Salvation Army and in other Christian venues. In the years 2004 through 2007, our family discovered documents that revealed that Sidney was also something of an author. These documents consisted of the pertinent pages of the publication of The Salvation Army known as The War Cry that had been saved and preserved in one of his personal files through the years. Though the pages were worn and fragile, I was able to obtain scanned electronic images of these documents. Although his work as a musical composer was widely known; surprisingly, none of our family had any prior knowledge of his fictional writings.
